GRSG conferences attract an international attendance. The December 2012 3-day meeting attracted more than 150 attendees from 23 countries, with representatives from geological surveys, research institutes, academia, mining, oil and gas companies and from specialist remote sensing companies and suppliers, amongst others.

Logistics:

Berlin: GRSG meetings attract an international audience. The usual venue for GRSG annual meetings is in London. Although in recent years GRSG have also held meetings in Italy (Frascati), France (Paris) and the US (Houston). The Berlin meeting provides an opportunity for engaging with remote sensing practitioners in central Europe. Berlin has excellent transport links, being easily accessible for international attendees.

Conference venue = Sachsen-Anhalt Landesvertretung, Luisenstrasse 18, Berlin-Mitte, 10117 Berlin. The representative office of Saxony-Anhalt Lander, a very centrally located venue, 400m from Reichstag, in the political, historic and cultural centre of Berlin.
